Offline older miners and hashrate
Each miner generation is independent. Hashrate bought (or tested) on one generation cannot be moved for free to another. When a generation is offline, it is not producing rewards until it is online again.
Read miner status on the dashboard
-
1. Open the dashboard
Log in and open the dashboard.
-
2. Open the miner card
Each generation you hold (or that is for sale) has its own card.
-
3. Read the status badge
The badge is Online, Warmup, Offline, or Retired. Hover it for the short description. That badge is the source of truth.
-
4. Match status to rewards
Only Online books daily Mined / Power / Reward. Warmup and Offline book none. Amounts are not guaranteed.
What each status means
Each miner card has a live status badge. Hover it for the short description:
- Online — the miner is running. Daily Mined / Power / Reward are booked for hashrate on that miner. Amounts are not guaranteed.
- Warmup — hardware is being prepared to go (back) online. No daily rewards while in warmup.
- Offline — the miner is not running. A generation is taken offline when mining rewards would not cover power costs and pool fees. No daily rewards while offline.
- Retired — not brought back, except at our discretion as described in the terms of service.
If mined BTC would again exceed power costs, an offline miner first moves to Warmup. It does not jump to Online. There is no guaranteed timeframe. Under the terms, hardware that stays unprofitable for three consecutive months is retired.
Current generations
This list is the same contract data the dashboard uses. Names and statuses change as hardware is rolled out or taken offline:

- SealMiner A3 Pro — Online
- SealMiner A3 — Online (currently for sale)
- SealMiner A2 — Online
- 6th Gen (mixed) — Online
- 5th Gen (mixed) — Online
- 4th Gen (mixed) — Warmup
- 3rd Gen (mixed) — Offline
- 2nd Gen (mixed) — Offline
- 1st Gen (mixed) — Offline
No free transfer between generations
TH on an older generation stays on that generation. Support cannot move it onto a newer miner at no cost. A paid efficiency upgrade into a newer generation is the planned path; it is not available yet. See Can I sell hashrate?.
Buy Hashrate lets you choose among miners that are currently for sale. Automatic scaling always buys the sellable miner with the lowest W/TH. Neither of those moves hashrate you already hold on older gens.
What offline means for rewards
Offline or warmup hashrate does not generate daily rewards. The TH is not deleted just because the status changed. If that miner later goes Online, it can start booking rewards again. Until then, only Online miners book daily rewards. Hashrate rental has no minimum operating period.
Frequently asked questions
No. There is no free transfer between generations. A paid efficiency-upgrade path is planned and not live yet.
No. Offline or Warmup means that generation is not running right now. The TH remains on that miner. Daily rewards resume only if it goes back to Online.
Only if mining rewards would again exceed power costs and pool fees. Even then it goes to Warmup first. There is no promised date. After three consecutive unprofitable months it is retired under the terms.
The Buy Hashrate and Free Testing modals warn that a return to Online and any mining rewards are not guaranteed.
