How traditional InitVerse mining works

InitVerse (INI) is a proof-of-work chain that mines with VersaHash. This page lists two Pinecone Matches units: INIBOX (850 MH/s) and INIBOX Pro (2.4 GH/s).

This is a small, new ASIC market. Treat pool URLs, wallets, and firmware as vendor-specific: download them from the project or the pool, not from random mirrors.

InitVerse mining pools

Public VersaHash pools are limited. Confirm the pool is finding INI blocks before you commit hardware:

  • Yates Pool: Public VersaHash pool used with INIBOX hardware. Confirm it is finding INI blocks before you commit.

InitVerse mining algorithm

VersaHash is InitVerse’s PoW function. It is not SHA-256, Ethash, or kHeavyHash. Only VersaHash ASICs (currently Pinecone INIBOX / INIBOX Pro) will hash this network.

Because the catalog is two SKUs, firmware and stratum compatibility are narrow. If a pool only documents one model, do not assume the other INIBOX variant uses the same port.

How to set up an InitVerse mining rig

  • 1. Choose InitVerse mining hardware

    Pinecone INIBOX or INIBOX Pro. There is no meaningful GPU path listed against these ASICs.

  • 2. Set up an INI wallet

    Use the wallet the project documents on its official site. Do not send INI to a random EVM address.

  • 3. Configure the ASIC to the pool

    Follow Yates Pool (or your chosen pool) for the exact stratum and worker format for your INIBOX model.

  • 4. Be cautious with firmware

    Only Pinecone or pool-linked firmware. Two-model markets attract fake “INI optimizer” images.

  • 5. Start mining

    Confirm INI shares on the pool. Recheck profitability often; small networks move fast.

Not unless that unit explicitly supports VersaHash. KA, HS, and SHA-256 miners will not work.
