How traditional Nervos CKB mining works
Nervos Layer 1 (CKB, Common Knowledge Base) is proof-of-work. The native token is the CKByte: holding 1 CKB entitles you to 1 byte of state on chain. Consensus is NC-MAX, a Bitcoin-style PoW design with shorter block times (about 8–10 seconds).
Mining uses the Eaglesong hash. CPU/GPU mining is obsolete; current hardware is Bitmain K-series, iBeLink BM-N, and Goldshell CK ASICs.

Nervos mining algorithm
Eaglesong is a permutation-based hash specified for CKB. It is not Ethash and not SHA-256; you need an Eaglesong ASIC (or a dual-purpose unit whose firmware exposes Eaglesong).
CKB also pays Nervos DAO interest to holders who lock tokens. That is separate from mining: miners receive the block subsidy; DAO is a holder mechanic.

How to set up a Nervos mining rig

1. Choose CKB mining hardware
Use an Eaglesong ASIC from the list below (for example Antminer K7, Goldshell CK6, iBeLink BM-N3).

2. Set up a CKB wallet
Create a mainnet address starting with
ckbvia Neuron or another listed wallet. Exchange deposit addresses work if the exchange supports CKB withdrawals. -
3. Configure the ASIC to the pool
Enter the pool URL (f2pool uses a username, 2Miners uses the wallet as worker). Save and reboot.

4. Be cautious with firmware
Flash only vendor firmware. Eaglesong custom images from random forums are a common theft vector.

5. Start mining
Wait for the worker to appear on the pool. Watch temperature: CK and K-series units are datacenter-class, not silent home boxes.
